FEI Clean Sport

Please note: It is the responability of all athletes to be aware of the anti doping rules for humans and horses and comply with these and be aware of need to hold valid Equine Therapeutic Use Exemption (ETUE) or Therapeutic Usage Forms (TUE) for horses/athletes which require the use of permitted controlled medication - please see www.feicleansport.org for more information.

N.B. The Person Responsible(PR)* and their support personnel shall be responsible for knowing what constitutes an Equine Anti Doping (EAD) rule violation and the substances and methods which have been included on the equine prohibited substances list and identified as banned substances. It is the PR’s personal duty to ensure that no banned substance is present in the horse’s body. The list is revised by the FEI from time to time but the current list is available on the FEI website (click here to access list).

Horses with documented  medical conditions requiring the use of a controlled medicated substance or controlled medication method during or prior to the event must obtain permission for on going participation through an (ETUE) in accordance with the FEI Veterinary Regulations.

*The PR is defined within  the FEI regulations as the athlete who rides the horse during the event. Support personnel are  any coaches, trainers, owners, grooms etc.. who assist the person responsible for participating in the competition.
